In addition to HERS raters, TexEnergy shares engineering strength with Tempo Mechanical. Tempo performs HVAC installations for production homebuilders. As a result, we have an in-house engineering staff of 5. This engineering staff is particularly adept at HVAC load calculation analysis and suggesting design or cost options from completed blue prints. Technically, the TexEnergy and Tempo design systems are very sophisticated and work seamlessly through the Internet with production builders. Our design and performance analysis software utilized are; AutoCAD, RemRate, REScheck and wrightsoft, but we are conversant with most residential engineering programs and prefer to transfer plans electronically. Two of our Partners are dedicated to support our TexEnergy sales and engineering team in plans management, analysis and to meet the agreed on turn around times for engineered or HERS reviewed plans.

Small enough to remain nimble yet large enough to have outstanding facilities and equipment, TexEnergy has 2,000 square feet of independent office space in a building it shares with Tempo. The facility is a 25,000 square foot building in Irving Texas. We have two T1 lines for swift and redundant communication, high quality enterprise software (Ascente and Traverse) along with powerful redundant SQL servers supporting the data.

Because of our long background and history in the HVAC service and construction business, TexEnergy has lots of insight into the energy needs and demands of a home. Through our sister company, we have installed over 40,000 HVAC systems in over 25,000 homes in the last 14 years. We are extremely familiar with the building science, the HERS industry and the demands of single-family homes or multi–family dwellings.

While the company has been around for 38 years, the TexEnergy name is relatively young. Even so, we have been recognized by the E.P.A. in 2004 and 2005 with the “Outstanding Achievement Award” In addition, Tempo is the only three time National Residential HVAC Contractor of the Year (2003- Contracting Business Magazine, 2001 – Air Conditioning Contractors of America and 2000 – the Excellence Alliance). Two-time Southwest Regional HVAC Contractor of the Year (1999-2000 – the Excellence Alliance). Tempo has also been named “The best company to work for” in the HVAC business – by the ACHR NEWS – February 2000. Tempo is a site visit finalist for the Texas Award for Performance Excellence, 1995 winner of the National Carrier Distinguished Dealer Award as well as Trane Elite and Distinguished Dealer Awards.
